Charmaen Herrera is the Founder and CEO of TruePath Advocates, bringing over 15 years of hands-on experience in healthcare navigation, patient advocacy, and managed care support. Her background spans hospital systems, health plans, and community-based care, where she has worked directly with uninsured and underinsured patients to secure coverage, resolve billing issues, and navigate complex programs such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, SSI, and managed care plans.
Most recently, Charmaen has served as a Patient Benefit Advisor in acute and ambulatory hospital settings, specializing in eligibility determination, insurance verification, appeals coordination, and benefits education. Her career also includes extensive experience in medical office administration, care coordination, and direct patient support across diverse populations.
Known for her compassionate, detail-oriented approach, Charmaen combines deep system knowledge with clear communication and advocacy-driven follow-through. She leads TruePath Advocates with a commitment to clarity, accountability, and patient-centered solutions, ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and empowered at every step, so the pacient can focus on their helth and healing instead of stressing on the struggle of navigating through the system to get their needs met.
